I am from Kangasala and still live there today. During my spare time I like to go for nature walks with my dog. I graduated as a dental hygienist in 1997 from the professional institute of Pohjois-Savo in Kuopio. The degree title back then was a dental assistant. For most of my career to date I have worked as a dental hygienist in a small clinic with one dentist, Tuire Päiväsalo. For the most part, my work tasks have included the maintenance treatment of gum infections of the adult population but I do all tasks related to the work of dental hygienists.

In autumn 2019 I completed anaesthesia training in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki to supplement my existing education. Having completed the training, I have more extensive capabilities to take care of possible pain relief if it is needed. Most of my spare time is spent driving my two children to their respective hobbies. I am very much looking forward to new challenges in a new, bigger work environment at the new clinic.
