I graduated as a dental hygienist from the Northern Savo Vocational Institute in Kuopio in 1997. For most of my career, I have worked as a dental hygienist at a small, single-dentist practice alongside dentist Tuire Päivönsalo. I have been working at Helmiäinen since the company was founded in 2020.

My duties have primarily involved maintenance care for gum diseases in adults, but I perform all tasks within the scope of a dental hygienist’s practice. In the fall of 2019, I completed continuing education in anesthesia at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, and in the spring of 2021, I expanded my expertise by taking a course in masticatory muscle massage at Turku University of Applied Sciences.

I’m originally from Kangasala, and that’s where I still live today. My family consists of my husband, two adult children, and two dogs. In my free time, I go for lots of walks with the dogs. I also swim, ride a bike, and go cross-country skiing in the winter.
