I am originally from Hanko and graduated as a dentist from the University of Turku in 2013. After graduation, I worked as a dentist in public health care and an assistant dentist in orthodontic treatments in several locations in Pirkanmaa and Central Finland. I completed my specialty training in orthodontics at the City of Tampere’s Specialized Oral Health Care Unit and at the Pirkanmaa Hospital District’s Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases Outpatient Clinic. I graduated as a specialist in orthodontics in the fall of 2022.

I provide orthodontic treatment for patients of all ages. In my work, I use both traditional fixed and removable orthodontic appliances as well as the Invisalign aligner system. I particularly enjoy treatment planning and seeing how a patient’s bite can be guided, step by step, toward greater functionality and balance. It’s rewarding to see how even small changes in tooth alignment can improve both the function of the bite and the aesthetics of a smile.

It’s important to me that treatment goals are planned together with the patient. I strive to create a calm and safe atmosphere in my office—there’s no need to feel nervous here. I also want to keep my patients informed about the progress of their treatment and what will happen next. A long-term collaborative relationship often develops during treatment, and trust plays a central role in that.

In addition to correcting bite problems and misaligned teeth, I also make bite splints as well as sleep apnea and snoring splints. When necessary, I collaborate with other specialists at Helmiäinen to plan treatment so that the end result is as effective and long-lasting as possible.

I spend my free time with my family, staying active, and enjoying nature. Winter bathing from sauna is my everyday luxury, and on business trips, I often immerse myself in audiobooks.
