I graduated from the University of Helsinki as a dentist in 2005, as a medical doctor in 2011, and as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2016.

In addition to working at Helmiäinen, I also serve as the chief physician of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Päijät-Häme Central Hospital. My research focuses particularly on the treatment of jaw fractures.

I enjoy performing all types of surgery. I also enjoy treating mucosal diseases and patients requiring botulinum toxin injections. In addition, I perform emergency surgery, treating conditions such as inflamed wisdom teeth and dental-related swelling.
