I graduated as a dentist from the University of Turku in 2013. After graduation, I worked for about a year and a half as a dentist at a health center, after which I practiced as a private dentist until I began my specialty training in 2018. I specialized in clinical dentistry at the University of Tampere and, in 2020, I graduated as a specialist in periodontology (diseases of the tissues supporting the teeth). I have worked at Helmiäinen since it opened.

I treat gum diseases related to teeth and dental implants. I also perform gum recession corrections and other gum-related surgical procedures. In addition to these, I perform other minor oral surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions and surgical tooth extractions. In addition to my area of specialization, I provide general dental care.

In addition to my clinical work, I earned my Doctor of Dental Science degree in 2021. My dissertation focused on the salivary diagnosis of periodontal diseases. My dissertation can be found here.

I also work part-time as a specialist dentist instructor in specialized healthcare. Teaching requires me to continuously update my own expertise while critically evaluating my own treatment approaches. In my work, I strive to follow the latest treatment guidelines.
