Karoliina Pitkänen
I graduated as a dentist from the University of Helsinki in 2014. I completed my specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Tampere in 2021.
I work full-time at Tampere University Hospital, where my responsibilities include orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, and surgery for tumors in the head and neck region, as well as reconstructive procedures following these surgeries. At the hospital, I serve as the lead trainer for implantology and bone and soft tissue grafts.
I actively pursue continuing education both in Finland and abroad to provide my patients with the most up-to-date and highest-quality care possible. I hope my patients feel relaxed and at ease during their visits, and I always strive to be sensitive to any fear or anxiety they may have regarding treatment.
My areas of expertise include tooth extractions, wisdom tooth surgery, implants, and bone and soft tissue grafts. I also diagnose and treat mucosal diseases and administer botulinum toxin treatments.
In my free time, I’m an active triathlete. I enjoy all kinds of sports and outdoor activities as a balance to my work.
